Update - 4.11.10
If you'd like to read about the ongoing efforts in Haiti, you can visit www.churcheshelpingchurches.com and read regular updates about the current situation.  Progress is being made and help will be needed for months and years to come.  You can also contribute on that site.

Update - 2.1.10
A quick update.  I just heard that the total amount raised for Churches Helping Churches is now at $1.2 million and continues to rise.  If you'd like to give, you can do so on their website directly at www.churcheshelpingchurches.com.

Also, MFI still needs help.  Let's not forget them as we move further away from the tragedy!

Update - 1.25.10
Churches Helping Churches is taking off!  So far Harvest churches alone have raised over $600,000 with much more to come. They have made a great connection with the main evangelical seminary in Port-Au-Prince and will be working with it to rebuild churches, as well as train current seminary students trade schools to build/rebuild as they move forward. It's an incredible ministry. More updates at www.churcheshelpingchurches.com.  You can give online at their website or send a check to Harvest Jupiter with "Churches Helping Churches" in the memo line.

Missionary Flights International needs medical supplies!  They have daily updates plus information on dropoff locations at www.mssionaryflights.org.  The updates will definitely help you understand exactly what is needed and what is not.

We are working on sending people up to MFI in Ft. Pierce to volunteer with cleaning, organizing, loading planes, etc.  More on that to come soon.

We wanted to keep updates coming on Harvest's efforts in Haiti.  Let us first encourage you to pray.  Pray for our all of those who have lost family members, friends, homes, businesses, and seemingly hope.  Pray that God would give great comfort to those who know Him and that the gospel would spread through this difficult time.  God is faithful and loving and powerful and the people of Haiti need to know and believe that.

James MacDonald of Harvest Bible Chapel Rolling Meadows has partnered with other Harvest Bible Chapel's, as well as other pastors across the country to create a website: www.churcheshelpingchurches.com.  This will be a gathering place for information and updates as Pastor James and Mark Driscoll head to Haiti to research what can be done to help the church...our brothers and sisters who have suffered such great loss.

As part of this new ministry, all Harvest's are taking a special offering that will specifically go to the church in Haiti.  If you'd like to contribute, please send a check to us made out to Harvest Bible Chapel Jupiter with the words Churches Helping Churches in the memo line.

Locally, we have let our church know about Missionary Flights International, a fantastic missions organization that has been flying supplies to Haiti for 30 years.  Their website is www.missionaryflights.org.  They are in need of many supplies...a list of specific supplies and drop-off locations is available on the website.  Also, physical labor is another opportunity as they need people to load their planes.  We will be emailing our church body information on any specifics in the coming days.
